GF - Vapours neutralizer

The Hydraulic guard is used to neutralize the vapours that develop themselves inside the storage tank, especially during the filling operations of it.

It’s just a Hydraulic system (not scrubber) composed by a small tank (12) that will contain liquid Sode (in case of Hydrochloric Acid neutralization) or Water, that should be replaced occasionally in order to avoid the complete saturation and the runoff of vapours in the environment.

In case of liquid Sode insertion, this shouldn’t be diluted in water, so excluding violent exothermic reactions that could cause the damage of the tank and of the whole system connected to it.

The tube (5) shouldn’t be put in the liquid for more than 10 cm of depth, in order to avoid that the Hydrostatic pressure of the liquid could prevail the vapours runoff.  The funnel (10) is supplied to collect the condensation drops that could be emitted from the valve (8) during its opening, due to the aspiration of the stored acid in the main tank.

For a good operation of the hydraulic guard, the storage tank of the acid should be totally tight.
